I woke up this morning with a nagging sensation that it was a bad idea. I was totally groggy and my head felt like it needed to be drained. Betsy took Jack and Macy to church and left me with Zoe, who was still sleeping. I ate a plain, dry waffle and one fried egg with a little bit of salt and drank one tall glass of orange juice. When Zoe woke up, I changed her, fed her, and changed her, 'cause that's how babies work. When Betsy got home from church with Jack and Macy, I went back to bed and slept for another five hours. I woke up needing to pee, which I did, and, in spite of the grogginess that was still pervading my consciousness and the headache that was trying to force my eyeballs out of my head, I went downstairs to check on everyone and to lend a helping hand where needed.
If things don't get more interesting soon, I'm going to have to start making things up.
Thank you,
Matt Beers
