Two of my favorite things in the world are the books of Roald Dahl and the films of Wes Anderson. It just so happens that Wes Anderson's latest movie is based on one of Roald Dahl's books. Lucky, lucky me.
Fantastic Mr. Fox is a short story about a fox who steals from three farmers, thus enraging them and causing them to ruthlessly hunt him down. He deals with the problem cleverly, like any fantastic fox would. The farmers are outwitted and all of the children cheer. The end.
The movie is quite a bit more complicated, but in the end the farmers are outwitted and all of the children cheer. Plus, the dialogue is incredible.
So, if you've not yet done so, I would advise you to check out Fantastic Mr. Fox, as well as the rest of Wes Anderson's fine films and Roald Dahl's brilliant books.
Thank you,
Matt Beers
