I love Altoids tins and I think it's a shame you can't just buy a bunch of them without the actual Altoids. In fact, I love boxes. An empty box just screams "potential" to me. It's like an empty journal or a new house without any furniture. Or a... something not with stuff in it. Anyway...
I love all of the inventive things people have done with Altoids tins. I've seen electric guitars, miniature barbecues, tiny herb gardens. Mostly people just keep their weed in them, but there a lot of really clever SOBs out there with a buttload of time and an empty Altoids tin. I myself have made a couple of vibrobots which was so totally not a wast of my time. Here's a video to prove it:
Time well spent.
But today I had an idea that, while not as explosive as a vibrobot, was still pretty awesome. Here is a picture to prove it:
It's a travel board game. So far, it has succeeded in impressing myself and my six-year old son. I'll take it.
Here's another, much longer video, proving that, no matter how much time you waste building vibrobots, you can always find a way to waste more:
Vibrobot Wars (I couldn't get the video to load from my computer, so I just linked to my old website. Feel free to poke around there if you like, but please don't judge.)
Thank you,
Matt Beers
