I'm sitting at our kitchen table next to my two-and-a-half year-old daughter who refuses to eat anything but her cherry slush. She's completely ignoring her peanut-butter and jelly quesadilla and her tater tots.
Let's examine the previous paragraph and see if we can find some ways it could be made better. First, do away with the cherry slush. That's a snack, in my book. Next, peanut-butter and jelly quesadillas are not historically at their best when paired with tater tots. Thirdly, where are the leafy green veggies?
I know we're feeding our daughter garbage. It's what we were raised on. I'm not looking to discuss it, though. I'm just killing time, waiting for her to be done.
I will now write a haiku.
Peanut-butter is
my kryptonite when in a
freshly-opened jar.
Thank you,
Matt Beers
