I have a few useful skills. I have a TON of useLESS skills. But on neither of those lists will you find "multitasking," or "getting a lot of stuff done," or "juggling many important things at once." I'm a one-thing-at-a-time kinda guy. And sometimes I like to take a few days to rest between things.
At the moment I have four (4) tasks set before me which cannot be ignored or pushed aside or forgotten... which is how I typically like to handle things when they get hectic.
Things (in no particular order):
1. Serbia Missions Trip... which I am just now mentioning for the first time in this blog, so don't feel bad for not knowing about it. I have a ton of paperwork, bookwork, soul-searching (I had it for a second, and then it got away), and fund-raising to do before June 30th.
2. I need to plan a very meaningful and in-depth Bible study for some high-school guys who all share the same "head in rear" issues.
3. Ferocious Quarterly. I don't have TONS to do for this, mostly keeping the lines of communication open, but it's on my mind which means it keeps me awake at night.
4. I have a lot of stuff to make and plan for Jack's Harry Potter party in a month.
My wife would roll her eyes at this, but she likes to have a full schedule. I, on the other hand, have been known to take a personal day to have a fifteen minute visit to the dentist. I'm not lazy. I just know an opportunity when I... No, I'm lazy.
Thank you,
Matt Beers
