The sun has lobotomized me.

The weather this week has been incredible. The sun is bright, the air is crisp, and the sky is clear. It's so nice to be warm again. As a result, I am also quite forgetful... which isn't actually anything new, but whatever. I missed yesterday's post. Sorry.

Yesterday started out kind of weird. We saw a possum on our back patio. This isn't the strangest thing that has ever happened in Indiana, but considering that we have a fenced-in yard, his presence raised some questions, the foremost being, "How do I kill it?" He managed to squeeze out through a gap in our fence before Google could satisfactorily answer my question.

In the afternoon we got a phone call from one of our neighbors. It would seem that an FBI agent was out and about asking some questions about another neighbor of ours. I'm not sure if this situation was in any way related to the possum in my backyard, but if I see that glorified rat (the possum, not the FBI agent) again, I'm turning him into a hat.

Note: How bad does an FBI agent have to screw up to get assigned to Huntertown, Indiana? It's like when Russian dissidents and political criminals were shipped off to Siberia.

Then, today, I got a phone call informing me that one of my best friends was admitted to the hospital. Apparently he was running out of blood. He's doing fine for the time being, but it's still pretty unsettling.

This prematurely nice weather is messing everyone up, it seems.

Thank you,
Matt Beers
