There's more crap on my TV than in my toilet.

We canceled our satellite service yesterday. Just one more step in our attempt to simplify our life. I won't miss all of those extra channels one bit, but I was pretty sure I would miss the DVR. Tonight, I was proven wrong.

I remember when I was a kid and Star Wars would be on TV. Everyone would watch it and then talk about it at school the next day. I remembered tonight, while watching Lost, what that was like... well, not the talking about it the next day part. Not yet, anyway.

We've had a satellite service for almost six years. When we first got it, the alternative was five local channels. Now, there are thirteen. Twelve more than I need.

As I've stated before, once Lost is over for good, I'm done with TV. I don't see any reason to pick up another show. Plus, I heard that there's a live-action Star Wars TV show in the works. So, I'd kinda like to avoid THAT.

That is all.

Thank you,
Matt Beers
