Betsy is on her way home from the store with fancy cheese and a random desire to play Wii. I can't let it go to waste. I must be brief.
I am trying to figure out how to burn a CD with my laptop. I used to be quite good at it with my desk top, but I don't have that anymore because I decided to go all Hannibal Lecter and I opened it up to see the insides. I didn't eat any of it, though. I sat down on the couch, got all cozy, popped in a CD-R (I have LOADS of these... I think we found them on sale somewhere) only to have my laptop spit the disc back out at me in disgust. Hm. I'll figure that out later.
I've still been trying to process the Serbia trip. It's slipping away from me more and more every day. When I look at the pictures of the trip I get very nostalgic and if I'm not careful I get a little misty-eyed. I know a lot of the team feels the same way. We've discussed it quite a bit. It's just hard to understand everything that happened when other things keep happening around us now that we're home. Some of these things aren't even important. For example, my friend Eric and I went to see Inception last night. AMAZING movie, but not as amazing as Serbia, yet it seems to have more of my attention right now than the trip. It's frustrating.
We started taking these Shaklee supplements... No. Rewind. The supplements haven't started yet. We're doing the detox-cleansing-thing which basically means I've spent the whole day pooping lava. It's fun.
And now, to lay to waste the rumors that my life in suburbia is a never-ending cycle of excitement and danger: I have to go take out the recycling.
Thank you,
Matt Beers
