The decluttering is going well, but the hardest part is yet to come. I still have to go through my books (I have close to a thousand). My goal is to thin the collection down to between two and three-hundred. Not an easy thing. The hurdle is more emotional than anything. Sure, I've got a lot of books I can't wait to get rid of, but I have a lot more that I can't bear to part with yet can't justify keeping. Frank Herbert's The Godmakers, for example. Not an amazing book. Not altogether memorable. I'll probably never read it again. But George Lucas so blatantly stole from this book that it's hard not to want to keep it close at hand.
Anyway, I have a ton of stuff to do tonight before I can go to bed (for example, I really have to pee) so that is all I will write.
Thank you,
Matt Beers
